Illustration
Illustration is making artwork for the purpose of being used inside books, posters, banners, and many other parts of graphic design. This is where the lines of art and design get blurred from the beauty of fine art to the function of graphic design. To me, illustration is finished when it is used in a book or a design to help the words explain what the message is. I do illustrations with many different types of tools from traditional media to digital, and I enjoy using sticks, sponges, and toothbrushes.
This was done in Illustrator with just the gradient mesh tools and took about a week to do.
Double exposure of stock photos a graveyard, raven, and forest. This isn't traditional illustration but it is still fun.
This is another double exposure to make it look like the woman is rendering or inside a computer. This was made with stock photos.
This was fun to do and is a composite illustration made with Photoshop. I replaced the outside of the window with a photo of jellyfish and it created a fun surreal illustration.
This should look familiar as it is the hero image on the homepage. This was drawn with pen and ink before being scanned and colored in Photoshop.
An ink drawing done with a brush, a dip pen, and a stick. This was fun to do and turned out to cute.
