Logos & Branding
Branding is more than a logo. However, logos often represent brands in a word or even an image and is one of the most important elements of a brand. This is also a skill that is often the bread and butter for graphic designers and something that we put a lot of thought into. It can be a lot of fun creating identities and distilling them into a symbol and playing with typography.
Trinket Shoppee
Trinket Shoppee was one of my first clients and I am still proud of the work that I have done for them. They are a small Etsy shop that wanted to have some branding done for them and I was excited to do it for them. I still do some design work for them whenever they need it and enjoy working with them. After all we small businesses need to stick together and support each other. If you are interested in plushies and other nick-knacks feel free to check out the store at Trinket Shoppee on Etsy.
This is the color version of the logo, the client wanted the colors to be fun and bright.
The black version of the logo is mostly used in print design to save some on the cost of printing color. This isn’t much of a problem nowadays but it is a good practice.
This is the white version of the logo which I made because it is good practice to have a version of the logo in white. Just in case they need it.
This banner has the slogan that they wanted to use for their shop and simplified scissors and thread.
The Banner
One of the things that Etsy asks for on their creator’s pages is a banner. This was a big deal for the client so she asked if I could use her slogan, “It’s the little things that count.”
She came up with it because after her grandmother’s death this is the thought that would come into her mind when looking back at her life. I of course agreed and placed the graphics of the scissors and thread into the banner since most of the things in her shop are sewn.
